Costanoan Indian Research Inc is undertaking a fundraising program to raise $900,000.  A full proposal exists describing the uses of the Village House and the life-support projects of Indian Canyon, as well as a budget and work plan for construction activities.

The general breakdown is a follows:

Village House (details)
  Pre-construction preparation $100,000  
  Construction, Infrastructure and Youth  Programs $550,000  
  Total Village House   $650,000
Sustainability and communication equipment and infrastructure (details)   $250,000
Total   $900,000

Current Status:

The ceremonial center pole of the Indian Canyon Village House is the trunk of a cottonwood tree that fell over in the canyon.  It has been trimmed, smoothed, and treated by the collective efforts of many visitors to the canyon.  It was cast in concrete in its final place on May 18, 2002 as shown in this picture shown and used without permission from
